Man, taking a quick glance at that sub, I’m not surprised you got banned. From personal experience, political subs in general don’t really care or want debate. They want an echo chamber. Left, right, center, doesn’t matter. Starting a conversation in subs like that usually isn’t going to work out well. I guess that just goes for a lot of reddit in general. Not just politics. People don’t want their views questioned or challenged, they just want to be right.

From the archives it looks like it started out as a ProED sub before it was (thankfully) highjacked to help those that have issues with Eating disorders. So hopefully this was just a stupid kneejerk kind of thing and not a targeted takedown. Because i’m pretty sure that if it was targeted they’d go for us and r/2meirl4meirl next.
