I wonder if these programmers are paid extra for keeping quiet about their work. I doubt it, considering how programmers are seen by management, so they probably just intimidated them, but there is a chance some of those programmers are now programming on their new bayliner at the bahamas.

Do you think they knew? I think they probably knew.
Of course they knew. There are some real stupid codemonkeys out there, but the ones translating the requirements certainly knew what it was doing.
Comment on: Is there a local server deployment package called WANG? (Windows, Apache, NoSql, and Go)
I don't think there is, but we could make at least someone on voat happy if we build this deployment package:
Apache, Node.js, Unix, SQL Lite
Comment on: Delphi (Object Pascal) IDE Starter Edition is temporary free, few days left.
This was one of the first programming languages I used in a professional environment. In a moment of nostalgia I found out they had a promotion of their IDE (usually ridiculously expensive). It's pretty good to build a quick professional looking desktop app in it, at least, that's how I remember it. I'm not even sure if I remember enough of Pascal to write anything in it anymore, but I won't pass up a freebie.
If you plan on getting it, don't use a completely fake email, they're sending you the key that way.

Sorry, I didn't mean to upset anyone. From a marketing perspective it's just not a great choice if you want big enterprises to adopt it for their critical applications. Can you imagine a board meeting where they look at a logo like that for their new financial software?
Comment on: Does the Go programming language have any future?
I've been asking the same questions. I'm not that blown away by the language it self yet, but one thing is sure: with a big company like google behind it, support will be very good. A language needs that. When they decide to start pushing it you can be sure it will get a decent userbase over time too. For now, I'm just keeping an eye on it, let it mature some more and see in what direction it's going.
I wish they changed that godawful logo, btw. It makes it all look like babies first computer language and not something to be taken seriously.

Nah, you can just skip that one :P

You can actually download the videos and slides, just not the tests.

What could be causing this extraordinary and unexpected statistic?
How about crippling fear of losing job and being send to jail over fabricated charges?

Someone wake me up. I swear to god, this is not the planet I remember.

Jesus Christ, just that avatar alone.
Hell no, that's all I'm saying.
I once encountered a comment where a programmer confessed his love to some girl with a shitty poem. It wasn't that special by itself, but the funny part was that it was either committed by accident, or he changed his mind and he quickly tried to remove it again. Too bad, because what's in the repository stays in the repository...
