Comment on: How to conduct a good Coding Interview

I have multiple solutions for your question and I don't have the experience of your company to know which one you want or need.

It's amazing how applicable this is to IT in general. Specialized knowledge of relevant systems is important, but you always expect to have to learn a lot about your new environment anyway.

Comment on: Give away your code, but never your time

So what I do is I use Open Source code, improve it and give the results as feed back to developers that wants it. If they want to implement it they can, but I am not going to do it. I am going to focus on my projects. I work at my time and pace, when I want.

That sounds like a good lesson; thank you for sharing!

Awesome :) I don't have the patience for programming projects, but I enjoy reading about them.

I've got the week off of work so I'm trying to post more things outside of my usual gaming beat.

Gnome 3 has been making big strides since it first released as a Desktop Environment. Fedora has always been close with the Gnome shell and the two of them together make a pretty compelling desktop experience.
