Exactly. They are working with a group called "Life After Hate" which is described as follows:
>Life After Hate is a nonprofit organization founded in 2011 by Arno Michaelis. Its mission is to help people leave far-right groups, particularly white supremacy groups.
It's fine to try to talk people out of extremist groups but the people who run Facebook actually believe that extreme ideas are only found on the right. Such a perspective sets the stage to abuse people who don't conform to leftists beliefs.

So we have created an app that pays people in Afghanistan to provide intelligence? Maybe I’m missing something but it doesn’t sound like a big deal to me.

Comment on: Apple pays millions to woman after explicit photos posted online
The original Telegraph article is [found here](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2021/06/06/apple-pays-millions-woman-explicit-photos-posted-online/). I don’t have an account so I can’t access it but maybe one of you does have access. It might shed light on how the technicians were able to access her phone.

Comment on: GitHub - Fmstrat/winapps: Run Windows apps such as Microsoft Office/Adobe in Linux (Ubuntu/Fedora) and GNOME/KDE as if they were a part of the native OS, including Nautilus integration.
Seems like a bit of a misleading description. The application does not run windows apps natively in Linux, it just makes an RDP connection to a windows server and displays the remote app on the local display. This application just makes that process transparent. It’s basically a free Citrix clone.

A couple years ago, I stopped reading Yahoo News. It was too liberal/woke.

Comment on: Is there a way to dynamically adjust a url, using some kind of network-gate?
You could create a short link using Tiny.cc and edit the link later. You might be able to do the same with other URL shortener services.
I tried to give you a link to the Tiny.cc web page but it looks like Ruqqus does not allow links to any URL shortener domains.

In a few years, I would not be surprised if researchers released a report that the replacement technology also allows individuals to be identified.

Comment on: Social Media Influencers Will Be Payed For ‘Approved Messages’ During Trial of Officer Killed Floyd
The article states definitively that George Floyd died of suffocation. Is that actually known? I’ve heard people say that he did not die due to the actions of the police. I just read [the autopsy](https://www.hennepin.us/-/media/hennepinus/residents/public-safety/documents/floyd-autopsy-6-3-20.pdf) but saw nothing about George suffocating or having neck trauma sufficient to cause his death. The actual cause seemed to be cardiac arrest if I read that correctly.

Their electric system was not designed for extreme weather like this since it's such a freak thing. In general, my understanding is that their electricity is normally quite stable.
