Anyway, I wasn’t lying. I always post to multiple subreddits because I got no clue which one to post in haha. And if you can see my removed posts, you probably should’ve seen another post in which I asked if I am racist in that post. I’m not pity crying, I just completely disagree with that moderators course of action. I could very well have made a mistake in my post and accidentally be a little racist.

Aha. But how else should I have asked this question then? Also, I’m actually not really confusing cultures, because Japan used to have warrior monks as well, comparable to Shaolin, until Oda Nobunaga practically destroyed them all.

First of all: I DID google, but only found Shaolin temples. I wanted to know about this concept specifically in Japan. Also, “martial arts” is not the entirety of my question. Meditation, mental awareness and so on have just as big of a role to me, in that scenario. I didn’t assume all Japanese people know martial arts, I assumed some Japanese redditors in the fucking subreddit of Japan might know a thing or two about what does or doesn’t exist in their country.
I had trouble finding the right subreddit for this post, it happened to be this one

How the hell is this orientalism? I don’t see their culture as inferior, matter of fact I want to learn more about the culture because I’m very intrigued by it. If anything I’m stupid, not racist.

Nope, not in Japan. You do have Shaolin temples and such in other country’s but those are very commercialized and you won’t meditate, actually train with monks (unless your’e already pro) or any of that.
