Comment on: /r/news mods remove a rule-abiding post with no explanation, then ban me after I politely ask why the post was removed. Quality moderating at its finest.
I agree that the majority of them are just run of the mill unpaid, no-life internet janitors. But i think there are probably a handful* of organizationally-affiliated advisory mods that set directives for the rest of them. Who knows though, maybe its just cunts all the way down.

I think its more than that. I think those subs are literally run by SPLC/DNC shills. Maybe not all of the mods, but some of them. Who knows what kind of shady shit is going on behind the scenes... reddit is big enough to matter to these groups , and the community moderation makes them uniquely primed for manipulation.

Comment on: /r/speedrun mods lock a thread about an all-female speedrunning marathon because the comments have "gone south." Look through the comments yourself. They're just people talking. But they aren't having the right conversation I guess.
Hahaha, and yeah your point is fair. I just thought it would be funny to frame it like I did in the original comment

>Perceived barrier of entry. The community is heavily skewed male, so a female is facing the prospect of trying to break into a community that is "different" from her. And that can be a scary prospect, **especially with how horrible anonymous people on the internet can be towards females.** Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm do they not consider that there might be less women at their speedrunning events because — and I’m just throwing this out there — vastly fewer women are interested in playing decades old games as fast as they can...? I’d be shocked if even 3% of speedrunners are female, so it really shouldn’t be a surprise that there aren’t as many women at their events. No, it must be because of meanies on the internet. By the way, we really need to work on straight male representation in makeup tutorials. The YouTube makeup tutorial scene needs to be more inclusive of men. Also, the knitting community needs to 👏🏿 stop 👏🏿 being 👏🏿 so 👏🏿 sexist, because the fact that 50% of knitters aren’t male shows online trolls are keeping men from actively participating in the knitting/crocheting community.
