Lol no I have googled it… and basically everything listed as being “leftism” or left wing aligns almost perfectly with the American Democratic Party - from economics (welfare state) to environmentalism, to social progressivism, to secularism… the Democratic Party, mostly, supports healthcare reform. It’s definitely the truth that the American Democratic Party is *very left wing* in much of the world. You could even say that the American Republican Party is left of center for a good portion of the world lol. People definitely bring out the “the American Democratic Party is right of center in the rest of the world” quote to try to make it seem as though, we’ll jeez if *they’re* right of center, then the republicans must be *ultra mega right of center*
