Comment on: Banned from whitepeopletwitter for stating an assault rifle wasn’t used in a shooting
What you did was like someone yelling at the funeral of a person: "We has not beat up to death with an metal baseball bat! It was a fiberglass-reinforced wooden bat! Stop lying about bats!" Their empathetically stunted ass would also get escorted out of the premises. Minutia like that are irrelevant. The family is grieving and they don't want to hear people talk about whatever some random stranger enjoys shoving up their bumhole while they jerk off to it because they love that object more than human lives.

Sam Harris likes to use an example for this. The problem of fundamentalists is the fundamentals. If your religion is just about hugging puppies I am not going to get worried. But if it used to be about chopping off puppy heads with your teeth, I don't care if you say you don't do that anymore, or that only fundamentalists do it. I'm seeing people do it, and it has to stop, and it won't stop until it's not part of the 'fundamentals'. But I haven't seen no one fixin' no holy book to remove the nonsense, the madness, the chaos and the harm.

Because Christians have no other choice. They could do whatever they wanted, but then the renaissance came along, countries got separation of church and state, and if they tried to do something, they would be repercussions. Islam is not affected by this because Islam is both religion and state. It's not something one can argue based on interpretations of very old texts. It has been written as such. It's designed to control every aspect of life, and to prevent its alteration and moderation. The Qur'an is essentially a manual for world domination. This is not something some dude on a computer is telling you. It is something non-muslim arabs and ex-muslims warn about. And I consider prudent to believe those who have suffered Islam over wealthy people who claim to be defending "social justice" while forgetting to defend the actual people who make that society.

Anything turned into dogma becomes poison to the mind and dangerous to the public. This we know because we've seen it over and over through history. Denial doesn't change reality.
