Its not exactly the power of LISP languages that makes people like them, its the beauty of the code. Theres no magic. Everything is a list, and the first object in a lisp is used as a function if the list is evaluated. Everything is simply, pure, and uniform. Its amazing.

Interesting. Why don't you like the JVM? It means that there are a lot of libraries available for Clojure, although admittedly they have to wrapped first to be used optimally.
