Comment on: Admins removed 3 Top /r/The_Donald moderators including top moderator OhSnapYouGotServed. Subreddit goes private.
Even if the_donald was as bland as possible and its users didn't break *any* rules, ever, the people complaining about it wouldn't care. They don't want diversity of speech on Reddit, that's the point.

Way to avoid addressing his actual argument and instead go for the 'durr le SJWs and le drumpfs = same???' cliche.

Comment on: /r/worldnews or /r/Trumpnews? /r/worldnews appears to have completely suspended its rule about "no US politics" when it comes to Trump
It's really bad on Reddit, but I've experienced similar bullshit elsewhere online. Someone on Twitter the other day seriously accused me of being part of Russian intelligence because I posted [this meme.](http://i.imgur.com/mBVGB6d.jpg) People are fucking losing it.

I find this shit incredibly scary. Not only are we being expected to just shut down our brains and believe anything we read based on 'anonymous sources,' but even if these sources *are* real the implications are alarming. The intelligence community is systematically leaking classified information to the press *in order to deliberately influence, create, and guide* news narratives. 'Unnamed sources' in the IC, through compliant journalists, are dominating the media. The MSM has willingly given over the reigns of the press to people who just a few years ago the Left were decrying as pseudo-fascist, and the intelligence community is perfectly willing to dangerously destabilise the country they're pledged to protect because of a political outcome they found disagreeable. This should frighten anyone; the fact that so many are cheering it on gives an indication of how little genuine regard there is for democracy in the US anymore.
