I don't know about that. I think they are just using different tactics to different ends. MAT bots seem to be for the sake of karma-whoring. That's the only benefit to submitting articles en masse and not using the same bots to upvote every single post. t_D has been dedicated to pushing all other content off the front page. There were times when every single front page post in All was a t_D post. Pretty obvious bullshittery IMO.
