My understanding is they decided to host on Amazon's services, it was claimed that Parler was utilized in the staging of a so-called "coup", they go down and the information of everyone who used the site is conveniently leaked, a new CEO emerges, and now they're back like nothing ever happened.

I feel like I'm preaching to the choir here, because it seems like everyone here knows better, but trusting in the "cloud" is foolish. Local storage that requires you to be connected to a service is even more so. Keep your portable drives local and unplugged when not in use.
