Comment on: Evidence of MarchAgainstTrump moderator using 5 bot accounts to post almost 5000 articles to their sub in under 2 months
My point Trump "lost" the popular vote by hardly 4% and probably wouldn't have lost at all if we had some semblance of voter ID laws in America, but apparently those are racist.

What laws has he violated. And where did you see a cover up? He fired Comey because he was being a giant douche for far too long now. I'm surprised he made it out of January.

> You lost the popular vote in the election Ok yes but you realized 63 million people still vote red right?

I guess at the end of the day the take away is that it equalizes out. If both sides are pushing the bots to the max it ultimately balances out no?

To clarify again, everyone is using bots. But why would people pay for bots to support Trump when he already won lol. That's just straight pissing money.

> Now you're telling me "Reddit is too liberal, we would never operate here." So which is it? It can't be both. Okay idk what you're talking about for the rest of your post so I'll address this. I mean the bots wouldn't work on Reddit. The Donald was fueled by real, live people. Bots wouldn't function in this climate, only real people made it happen. Aka the silent majority isn't so silent anymore.

Well as far as tD getting banned from the front page I meant it's more because it's human user base was simply just hyper-active. I guess to clarify my point I mean that honestly I think everyone is using bots. And until I see a clear, large-scale pattern of "bots" favoring one side it's ultimately a net-zero. Logically speaking, if both sides spend $5mm on bots, it essentially evens out no?

To address your first point, yeah definitely. You'd be a fool to claim any political group ever doesn't do sketchy shit. I meant more how reddit/GOP was doing more typical dirt digging while the media/DNC was doing some wayyyy sketchy shit like slanting news and straight up rigging the election against Bernie (not that I like the dude but doesn't matter). As to your second point I mean yes, to an extent. I want to win of course. And unlike most people here, I'll admit I'm okay with taking a few shortcuts if the net benefit to America is positive. The thing is, I really do believe Trump will drain the swamp. But part of draining the swamp is transparency, which is something I missed since I didn't get it after our last president immediately sealed his records after taking office.

I'll be real, that's kind of sketchy. And I honestly haven't seen that stuff before. But until somebody gives me proof the other side isn't doing that (which they won't because you can't prove that, and r/politics is heavily biased anyway) it's just too hard to say Trump has an upper hand. To be clear, I'm definitely not saying there isn't bot involvement. But during the election, man we had energy there that you couldn't find anywhere else. There's a reason the donald got banned from the front page. I simply can't chalk that up to bots. Also, it's worth mentioning that pro-Hillary sources have egregious examples of similar posts.

"REMEMBER AUDIENCE, THIS IS BAD. WE DON'T LIKE TRUMP. HE'S A BAD MAN, WITH BAD IDEAS, AND WE DON'T LIKE HIM. RIGHT, AUDIENCE?"

I mean I'm not denying you're claim because I don't know information about it either way, but I never did claim that. I"m just saying that if Trump's "boys" are playing the spin game it sure as hell isn't on one of the most liberal sites on the planet with a documented bias against conservatives, commenting on random shit on a biased subreddit just **hoping** somebody reads it who's receptive to the idea and **maybe** their mind will be changed.

I haven't dug through the data lately but from I've seen is a consistently closer subscribed/active ratio than compared to any Bernie or Hillary or Anti-Trump sub. Trump threads back in the day got a ton of comments too. I honestly haven't seen any threads like you're talking about, if you find some let me know maybe I'll change my mind.

Idk about you my goal is to show people a angle they haven't thought of. Sure everyone loves free college but if they considered maybe other ways we can achieve the same thing or the impact of the costs of the program? That's what I want to show people. People are going to tow the line, or oppose it the same way they are going to support or oppose the parties.

Well yeah 100% but it's more effective to spend money on current issues that actually matter ie Russia, healthcare, the Wall, etc. Not some election that ended last November and is all but irrelevant in popular opinion.

Making light of emails whatever. basically we aired dirty laundry while everyone else was complaining how Trump "shouldn't" be going up in the polls and convinced themselves that it was because they weren't giving enough money.

Actually you're right, I'll give you some credit on that one. I guess I should've been more clear, I don't think reddit has a very wide or diverse audience that's likely to change it's mind.

It just doesn't seem likely that botting reddit would have a significant impact on opinion opinion considering the dollars spent. Better off just buying a tv spot.

I mean I like to think I can learn things from passively-aggresively pissing people off, usually I just get told off and banned. No I mean it's definitely suspect but when you look into it it's a really far stretch to think Russia fixed the election considering how many avenues you have to go through and Hillary didn't even get elected and the Democrats fixed their primaries (and that we DO know). Nobody is comfortable with Russia interfering with anything domestic but the fact is like what 17 agencies investigated the Russia connection and found no evidence of collusion?

Goddamn liberals. Nah I'm just kidding lol but yo Trump isn't being investigated and why would you fire somebody who is investigating you if you're guilty? That is the dumbest thing ever. Y'all have been saying he's done for like 10 months now yet here we are.

Okay but that's not what I'm talking about lol. You don't realize that Trump supporters literally meme'd their way to the White House while y'all were over there in Massachusetts dumping money into Bernie's account who swiftly gave it all to Hillary and fell in line

Why would conservatives pay for bots to support a candidate they don't like who already won? Sometimes the easy answers are the right ones.
