Comment on: Google Code going read-only in the next few hours. Last chance to update with URLs for new project locations.

You'll be able to contact them to add a URL with the new project location.

If a project needs some administrative action, such as deleting a project or setting up a "project moved" URL you can contact google-code-shutdown@google.com and somebody (most likely me) will twiddle the bits on your project.

From the /r/programming thread.

Comment on: Github employee attempts to dox user who complained about repo deletion

They never published any private information about him, and we have no proof that it was their intention.

It would probably take a major deviation in order to find a glitch like that. It would most likely continue to refine itself instead of looking for new methods, unless it was specifically programmed to.

Comment on: 8 barriers to overcome when learning to code

I disagree that having a problem to solve is poor motivation. I couldn't imagine learning to program without some sort of objective. I always absorb the most when I need to learn something into order to accomplish something else; not learning for the sake of learning. You should at least be applying what you're learning in some way.
