As god intended.

Yeah you can. But if you cut some code from a source and paste it into your program it's horribly off.

Either is invisible. Should be something like braces.

Screws up cut and paste.

Run a pretty printer over the code (like c++) and you get easily readable code.

If they had simply not picked spaces as delimiters it would be fine.

Comment on: What do developers love most about Java?

If only Java didn't use spaces as delimiters. Stupid idea.

I think there is a way to get EMACs to do space->tab replacement automatically. Vague memory.

EMACS just works better. No move/edit modes which is just annoying.

Back when I was coding I could prob edit twice as fast as my coworkers.

A lot more effort to use VIM is not something in it's favor.

Have you never heard of pretty printers? You paste and since it has delimiters it can figure out how to do all the indentations correctly so you don't have too. Can't do that with space delimited code.

Pretty printers are built into good IDEs or you can get externals.

No that's backwards. It's a stupid idea and messes with your copy and paste etc.

It would have been so easy to have put in something like curly braces.

If only it didn't use white space as a delimiter. That's stupid.
