doing my degree a number of years ago we had a few females doing the course. The girls, while great at design aspect, would fail at programming and the beta teachers would fall over themselves helping the girls with their assignments, only to at the end of the day, mark their own work and give the grade to their students. yeah, im still bitter about it.
