Comment on: The University of California (UC), Davis scientists are inventing a prototype for an ‘anti-solar panels’ that would work opposite to a classic solar panel.
Solar panels turn light into electricity. LEDs turn electricity into light, so the joke, silly as it is, isn't far off.

"Sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic"
And I communicated that just by moving my thumbs in funny ways (to hit the mobile keys)

The greed stuff is intended to establish that Reddit willfully profits off of the exchange of CP on its platform.
Whether or not it succeeds in making that argument remains to be seen.

Comment on: MyPillow CEO’s free speech social network will ban posts that take the Lord’s name in vain
"free speech" only means for people he likes, I guess.
Between this and the trainwreck that is MyStore, this guy is going downhill fast. He needs to focus on pillows and excel at that, rather than being sub-mediocre at multiple things.

For starters, *don't fucking store passwords in plaintext*, which, if the hack message is to be trusted, appears to have been part of the problem.

They wouldn't be getting fired for their political leanings; they would be getting fired for actively attempting to undermine the core mission of the company.

I get that many people don't want to watch that shit, but this is where FB and other companies should be actively trying to hire high functioning sociopaths, autists, and other people who are just naturally immune to graphic content. If your whole day is ruined because you saw a video of someone dying, content moderation is not the right job for you.
