Moderation isn't inherently censorship. In fact, its needed to keep the sub on topic. The reason this sub exists is because other mods way overstep their boundaries and ban posts that they dont like regardless of their rules. If this sub had no rules, people would be posting ads for random crap.

I've seen multiple threads about this from multiple subreddits and most of them are locked, with the mods leaving snide messages about "racist apologia". Tons of comments are deleted. Now I can't say this for certain because the comments are gone but my guess is most of them are pretty reasonable. This is site-wide thought control.

I see why they removed it, it is a relatively simple topic, but it's stupid that they shadow removed it and didn't get back to you about it.

Alot of dumb people on Twitter are talking about how Gab "enabled" the Pittsburg shooter. While what he did was terrible, banning people like him from speaking isn't going to stop them from committing violent acts. If anything they will be more violent when they get their free speech taken away.
