And shadowbans were initially implemented to only be used on spam bots. I’m sure you would have called it “paranoid schizophrenia” to think that they would start shadowbanning people as a censorship method.
Unfortunately foresight and intelligence seem like mental illness to people incapable of critical thinking.

They didn’t “accidentally” implement it. It was a test run to see how it worked and gauge how much censorship They can get away with.
I’ll bet that in 6 months to a year it will get re implemented, but only on “problem” sub Reddits. Either that or it will be used only on certain user accounts deemed “toxic”.
This way it will effectively censor wrongthink while not affecting enough of the user base to cause an uproar.

I remember when you could say anything you wanted and people didn’t need to be shielded from the horrible scary words.
