UX UX UX. Chromebooks are just easier to use than any Linux distro (yes, even your favorite one.) Even then, they're UI is different that Win/Mac, so it's still a struggle to get people to switch to any thing else. People hate change, no matter how good that change would be for them. I just installed Cloudready on a buddy's ancient laptop and he loves it. But he's never been a hardcore PC user. So the simplicity of ChromeOS is a big plus.
