Comment on: Brazil regulator fines Apple $2 million for not including chargers with iPhone 12
I see your point, though I still think they should add a regular wired cable charger. Fining them is a bit extreme, not that it'll affect them, but it does point out the cheap/greedy nature of Apple.

A chargers not gonna cost $50, especially for Apple to produce.. It's like selling a TV without a power cable or something - you buy a phone then have to buy a charger separately? Crazy. I don't think they care about the environment or consumer protection groups and that either, they have their shit made via slave-like labour in China or whatever, have that auto-degradation and slowness built into updates to make people buy a new phone, it's just being greedy and taking advantage because people will pay it.

You don't even get a charger? 😄 I thought the jokes about Apple were overblown but I guess not Funnily enough, earlier today I read some bloggers posts telling his followers that Macs are faster and better performing than Windows PCs priced the same, adamant that it was the case. & that they're ok for gaming because he plays Hearthstone.. > Update: I bought the base model M1 Macbook Air and LOVE it. It feels like I now own a $6,000 top of the line intel laptop for video editing even though mine is the lowest model with no fan and only 8GB of ram. > Games - It depends on the game. I play Hearthstone and it's 100% fine on my Mac. > Speed - On paper the $2,000 PC will be much faster. In real life, the Mac will be quicker in most cases and day to day use because of the hardware/software integration. > Mac vs Windows - I used to have a $2,500 gaming laptop, brand new, and it was slower and a huge pain in the ass compared to my friend's 5 year old Macbook Pro.I also used my girlfriend's 2 year old PC vs. my 2013 Macbook Air. The Mac was still better. Not surprised Apple feel they can take the piss if their buyers are that delusional.

Comment on: Gab got hacked again
That's embarrassing. Tough for them I'm sure, they basically have everyone and their nan going at them, probably at government level too, list be tough to defend against. That said, they know this, they should employ the best they can find to combat it.

I wanted to buy it to see what it was like, I was curious. I did end up getting proper VR though, which was mind-blowing for me

Comment on: BREAKING: Gab's Torba Looking Into 'Buying Our Own Bank' After 4th Bank Ban In 4 Weeks
Payment processors banned him so he took payments in bitcoin - if his 'bank' was basically a bitcoin wallet he's profited like crazy over the past few months, wouldn't surprise me if the crazy bastard managed to do it

I thought he was the main guy. So they've basically outed him for not being proactive enough in terms of stability and getting cancelled?

Comment on: Apple surpasses $100 billion in quarterly revenue for first time in its history - The Verge
I thought they were fading tbh, not really the status symbols of years past, at least not amongst people I know. I guess they still have some diehard iPhone/Mac users.

Xiaomi makes some good tech, phones are great. I have a Note 9, can't fault it. Also have their wireless silent mouse, best mouse I've ever used, and their wireless airpod ripoffs which are amazing for the price.

Comment on: What happened to Beats by Dre?
Good video. 10 years? Man that went fast. Stroke of marketing genius by Dre, they were always overpriced as hell, sold for a cool billion as well IIRC. Good point at the end - now people are way more informed about tech and so quality matters above marketing in many cases today.

Comment on: Sony Announces Xperia 5 II: 120Hz Full-Fledged Small Phone
I had two, both were fucked. Z2 and then the latest one. Screen issues. Owned a Z2 for a while but the screen got ridiculously sensitive and just spazzed out all the time. Was looking for a new phone last year or something and saw the Z3 or Z4, whatever it was then. Figured I'd be fine, my Z2 issue must have been a one off. Bought the new one, played in store all good, few hours later the fucking screen bullshit had started again, dunno wtf is up with them. Either I'm super unlucky, have some weird finger issue, or the screens have issues.
