Comment on: Apple introduces AirTag - Apple
I think the fact that any iPhone can be used as a connection point makes this really valuable, considering there are so many iPhones out there. Tile is valuable only when you are around other people who use Tile, this is valuable around anyone with an iPhone. That's a massive range. I could be wrong, though. I don't know a lot about either of these pieces of tech.

Comment on: Apple introduces AirTag - Apple
"Big tech scary" aside, this is actually pretty cool. I'd love to be able to drop tags like this on my important stuff. Would have come in handy when my bike got stolen off the rack a few years ago.

Comment on: Microsoft to buy Discord for about $10 Billion
I hate Microsoft as much as the next guy, but I also hate fear-mongering and I think we should avoid cynicism here. They bought GitHub, but GitHub didn't really get any worse. In fact, it got better by allowing more private repositories and offering a few more features for free users. Buying a company doesn't mean suddenly they're cleaning house of all the devs and management... It means they're spending $10b to hopefully make more than $10b over the course of the next few years, and have some say over the development of the program, but more likely the business side of things. They're not stupid, and probably won't change the recipe too much. You don't buy a world-class cake recipe and then change the recipe. That being said, I'd wish Microsoft would just leave me alone.
