And red-black trees are also racist. They should be renamed to native american/african heritage trees.
Oh and before anyone wants to say this is ridiculous just remember this
Comment on: /r/programming delisted a thread about the new githup CoC
And you misspelled github :P

it appears a purge is coming of all right-wingers who code
That's what these wannabe "I'm oh so triggered" people would like to see happen.
The thing, that it's not going to play out this way. Programs don't run because of triggered feelings but because of well crafted code. If they manage to drive the currently succesful projects into the ditch, the competent people are just going to start new projects that are in turn successful.
It's the circle of life. Something has to die for something new to be born; but ideas don't go away because they hurt some hipster's feelings. They just reincarnate somewhere else.

They took what he said and turned it into him being transphobic
I think that's entirely beside the point here.
The guy could be a raging crossburning racist or a transracial polygender foxkin and I still wouldn't care if he was part of an open source project I'm collaborating on. Quite frankly, opinions of contributors to FOSS that are not directly related to the project and are not voiced on a platform that hosts the project / is part of it should not be any business of other contributors.
What's the alternative? Splitting stuff like libc up in a rightwing and a leftwing and a libertarian variant?

This is gold. Someone said something I don't like! Because of that he can't work on a project that I'm not remotely part of and that has nothing to do with identity politics! He hurt muh feelings! Muh opresshun!

I'm counting the days untill they start banning projects for using terms such as "master/slave" and advocate for less triggering language like "leader/follower". Watch it happen, they already did it to django. Quit your triggering use of language you programming shitlords!
Also... forking? Quit raping people you horribly opressive cishets! And at my old university they also taught the travelling salesman problem as traveling salesperson problem in order not to opress poor special snowflakes... This is going to be fun to watch...
Comment on: What do you guys think of NASA's programming guidelines? Are they too strict or do they make sense when code correctness is life-or-death?
I'm going to advocate for indirect recursion. Stuff like map or fold guarantees you, that you won't get infinite loops.
Direct recursion however can get ugly and I also think it's best avoided.
Classic paper notebook (and no I'm not old)
