>The morally correct thing is to allow people to speak their minds
Who's arguing? Just don't claim it's your right to demand it. They should do the right thing, and often do, but they are not required to by law. That's it. That's all I'm saying. If someone is doing the wrong thing but it's not illegal, all you can do is call them out.
Just breathe.
And be glad that the constitution is not actually irrelevant. It's the only legal document that enshrines the idea that we have inalienable rights at all.

The constitution.
I'm pointing out that the law of the land does not guarantee the right to free speech on a private platform.
That doesn't mean you should be censored. Reddit has reasons to not be heavy-handed. And they even allow people (e.g. in this sub) to take them to task when they are. Just don't do it by ignorantly claiming it's your right. It's just not.

>its the right thing to do.
That's your best argument. I agree.
But claiming it as a right means they have no choice to give it to you. But they do have a choice.
I see no problem asking them to make the right choice.

Obtuse?
We don't have any rights here. Reddit is the host, we are the guests. They give us privileges, and can take them away, and there is nothing you or I can do about that.
I am not being obtuse or otherwise "misunderstanding" your claim to free speech rights on this platform.
You simply don't have any, and you don't want me to point that out.

Your freedom of speech is guaranteed by the first amendment to the constitution.
It means the **government** can in no way abridge your right to say anything you want. The only exception is when speech translates directly to harm to another person.
The first amendment in no way guarantees your right to say what you want on other peoples' (corporations') property and expect to be allowed to stay. All these social media platforms are private property.
