Comment on: Please Bring Back Our Downvotes: Society Desperately Needs It
The article raises an important point, which is that platforms only allow for positive reactions to content under the false pretense of spreading positivity or whatever, but only resulting in the complete opposite effect. By painting the act of disagreement as unnatural and unwanted you're doing nothing except radicalize people.

Comment on: How to download any video on webpage?
Express solution: download `youtube-dl` and use it to grab videos from any streaming service imaginable. Advanced solution: Open developer tools, Network tab, then refresh the page. There will be a huge list, looking through it you'll find one of 3 possibilities: 1. The video is served directly as a mp4/webm file, in that case you simply right-click it in the list and save as. 2. The video is split into chunks that are combined in a m3u8 file, in that case you copy the file link and feed it to VLC or ffmpeg. 3. Same as 2 but it's a mpd file.

Comment on: Comcast Subscriber Receives DMCA Notice for Downloading Ubuntu
I'm guessing the ISP has an automated system that generates DMCA letters any time a torrent client is used "just in case" the usage was illegal.

Comment on: Scientists Grow Mouse Embryos in a Mechanical Womb
I'm not. I'm just disappointed that a lot of the recent scientific breakthroughs are almost exclusively coming out of Israel, never anywhere else.

Probably not, but if it did then great. Skin tones on emojis is the dumbest idea I've ever seen.

Comment on: Windows 10 Control Panel gets another nail in its coffin
ReactOS is still in beta (or even alpha I'm not sure) and its compatibility with programs and drivers still has a long way to go. That being said, Linux is probably more convenient to use than Windows 10 for every day tasks, as long as you're not dependent on modern Windows-only games and programs, because those are a great hassle to get working.

Comment on: Microsoft tells Windows 10 users they can never uninstall Edge. Wait, what? | ZDNet
The most popular tools for XP and Vista were nLite and vLite respectively, their developer is still around maintaining a newer project called NTlite for 7/8/10, but it wasn't as popular due to being freemium crippleware... Not sure if the developer got hired by Microsoft because I'm pretty sure they wouldn't approve of tools tweaking their OS.
