No one thinks Reddit is like “the streets”. Subreddits have rules and topics. It’s the literal opposite. If you think it’s the streets you’re in the wrong place.

Not all moderators are good faith actors. Some are deliberately abusing their power to instigate outrage toward Reddit and its communities. They create alt accounts to create sensational situations like this. OP has posts stating he’s both in the US and not in the US. Not credible. Seems bad faith. Don’t let disinformation win.

It feels like the moderators haven’t updated their understanding of the current accepted position(s). Sorry for your ban my understanding is the same as yours.
