Comment on: Mute someone from asking wtf they were banned for, and then immediately start harassing them while warning against harassment. Jannies. Gonna. Fucking. Jan. wtaf
As a mod, I could never imagine banning someone without giving them an explicit reason. Even then, I would still engage them honestly if they had questions and only mute if they were being outright abusive.

Comment on: Reddit’s 2021 Mod Summit was incredibly revealing. These aren't people I'd trust to tie my shoe laces, much less run one of the biggest and most important websites in the world. And their new "true block" announcement is a perfect example that they're either horribly corrupt or incompetent.
So, find all the communities that want to leave and help move along the exodus?

Comment on: A post on "whitepeopletwitter" asked someone to "Explain the difference" between the Ashley Babbit case, & the Kyle Rittenhouse case; so, I DID. The Moderator's response was to unilaterally Ban me & accuse me of supporting Fascism. Gee, acts like a little Reddit HITLER Much?
You see this garbage happening everywhere on reddit, the reinforcement of the echo chambers is stronger than ever.

Comment on: We need a discord to raise awareness about Reddit censorship.
I'm working on a way to backup subreddits onto open-source systems that can be federated together. Posts, comments, and all users are imported on a regular basis from the primary subreddit. That second site lives in a read-only mode until the subreddit is banned outright. When this occurs, the second site becomes the primary site. At any time users can verify their account through their reddit account. If this sounds interesting to you, we are in need of Python developers and those with expertise in SQL, docker, and reddit-alternatives like lemmy, lotide, etc. PM me.

It is actually kind of a cool window into the past when entire governments were run this way.

This is just another facet of systems based on group identity rather than individuality. It is the same type of system they want to institutionalize at a governmental level. A system that will discriminate based on group identity, which is the very definition of racism, which is exactly what they say there are against.

Comment on: r/2fuckinggenders has been banned for harassment, even though we removed all posts against trans people and removed anything even remotely harassing.
Not at all unbelievable, as much as I loathe to say it. This is plain and simple censoring ideas "reddit" (and those who control it) does not agree with. This platform is dying, as are the other mainstream platforms, as they continue to ban ideas they do not agree with. Big tech is doing a disservice to freedom, it is shameful.
I get it, private platform, they can do what they want. They are not even enforcing their *own* rules equally. It is just so meek. They are trying to hide it, there is no honour in that. Know who you are and be it, don't pretend to hide behind something you are not.
We need a reddit clone, publicly funded, that adheres to nothing more or nothing less than the rule of law.

Comment on: /r/PoliticalHumor. Where it's only funny if it leans liberal. Strange how anything with a conservative leaning just "isn't funny."
All the politics subreddits suffer from the delusion that they're unbiased.

Comment on: r/Piracy has received a notice of multiple copyright infringements from Reddit Legal, but the admins have yet to provide any posts showing where said infringement is taking place.
They don't need to provide evidence, neither does Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, or any of the other mainstream social media platforms.
That is the problem.

Why does this sub do these things? What is their agenda?

Comment on: I was banned /r/offmychest because I had commented on a meme from another sub Reddit (/r/The_Donald). I can post the comment I left on TD if you need me to.
Yes this has been on-going for quite some time. It doesn't even matter what you post. Post anything at all to T_D and you will be banned from OMC.
