Anything coming within even ICBM range of the 10k character limit for posts and comments fails to get posted… even submissions in the 6-7k range has the submit button spinning forever, with no indication of where the problem is. They need to start providing user-accessible error messages so the community can help out, and people aren’t faced with “dead stick” bugs. Any bug is acceptable as long as the end user is given a coherent indication that it’s the system derping and it’s not actually their fault.

As Westerners, we just treat one much better than the other out of convention, historical preferences, and social pressure, but this can also be used to weaponize our perception of other cultures against them. And _that_ is where the problem lies. Not the facts, but the weaponization of cultural mores to unfairly malign out-groups.
