I’ve already explained what it means. It doesn’t mean irrational fear of… or have any similarity to arachnophobia or any other phobias.

Islamophobia is not the criticism of Islam. Criticism of Islam is fine.
Islamophobia is discrimination and prejudice against Muslims or non-Muslims from Muslim backgrounds that leads to harassment/abuse.

And r/Israel is a venue for pro-Israel propaganda and islamophobia. Echo chambers exist everywhere on Reddit. I don’t think if I wrote a comment on r/beer that beer sucks and is an inferior drink it will be well received either.

Depends on context, but often Islamophobia is disguised as criticism of Islam.
To your original point, Judaism is not a racial group (there are European, Arab and Black Jews) but anti-semitism is regarded as a form of racism, because the discrimination is applied whether the person is practicing or not. Same applies with Islamophobia.

Those who choose not to practice Islam but who are perceived as Muslim are subjected to discrimination.

It’s stunning what a racist cesspit Reddit has become within these large communities.
