Thanks for all your help, your codes are the same as mine. Yes, I am checking release too. I was finally able to duplicate it. I think if going to fast it registers the space. I added something else there to trim off the space just in case. So far it's working for me...still trying to see if I can re-duplicate it. can you try again?

are you in the UK? Is it possible you might be pressing Enter/Return when it happens? I'm wondering if maybe your keyboards keycode is sending a different key code than mine.

I think I fixed it...would you want to reload the page and test it again?

I think I know why...I think it might be because Alt is being pressed and registering as a keystroke and not letting you finish the word. I will fix it and see if that helps. Thanks for your help!

Hello all, I am looking for feedback on my typing test and practice web app. Please try it in test mode and practice mode. In practice mode, do the hands help you or do they distract? Does submitting your results to Facebook or Twitter work for you? Do you have any suggestions on how I can make it better? Looking forward to your constructive criticism.
oh man....apparently this is a quirk with how fast keys CAN be entered and how slow JavaScript is at detecting it. I added even more code to try and combat this. Ultimately what I am doing is detecting if the error happens and correcting it..hopefully before the typer notices.
Since I am not a fast typer I would have never found this on my own. So I greatly appreciate all you are doing to help. I think it's better now. If you feel like trying it I would like to know if you can duplicate the error again.
