They don't seem to notice really, they(the mods) usually do so after it's been at the top for a day or so then it's magically gone overnight.
Like hey thanks for removing this thread letting people know that something that many people use is going up in price after only a day because whatever bullshit reason they think of.

/r/frugal does this as well, i've had multiple posts vanish overnight even though they were upvoted into the hundreds/thousands.
The threads are still there and don't show as deleted but they no longer show on the subreddit while browsing.
