I tried to use Scala with this a few years ago (because Java is horrible, especially if you want to do vector ops). However something in their strange ClassLoader hack prevented it from working. The first battle would work but on any subsequent battle the bot wouldn't start correctly because something inside the Scala runtime failed. So this joins the list of projects which would be interesting if only they used some good programming language.
