That’s 10000000% not the case for me. Everyone here has for the last couple of years and continue to this day to be subscribed automatically to the default subreddits including the region specific ones.
Whoever made that claim was lying.
Like I said, try using a VPN.

Weird. It definitely still happens for me. Try using a VPN (+ incognito) and play around with various european countries if you’d like. I’d have recorded it for you, weren’t it for the fact that I want to keep my nationality hidden.

The r/food moderators believe acrylamide (food char) is safe. Auto-moderates dissent to their pseudoscientific perception. Stonewalls, mutes and bans due to dissent. Another default subreddit

I definitely was subscribed to 10-30 subreddits automatically when i created my account a couple days ago. go make one yourself and i’m sure it’ll happen to you as well. report back if it doesn’t, because then perhaps it’s different between the countries we live in (some of the auto subscriptions are regional)

When you make your reddit account, you are automatically subscribed to a number of subreddits. One of those are twoxchromosomes and i was told that’s because it’s official or default or something like that
