List of 20+ free online programming/CS courses (MOOCs) with FREE certificates of accomplishments/transcripts/badges

There have been lots of popular MOOC offerings being advertised lately. However, most of these courses are from edX or coursera both of whom have recently stopped providing free statements of accomplishments and now provide only paid certificates, thus turning education provisioning into a fully professional business. It is my belief, however, that there should be some options for those of us who don't want to spend a fortune on just certificates. Hence, I've researched some MOOC courses that provide free certificate of accomplishments upon completion:

Dude, this is friggin' great. Thanks! And Saylor's just a great resource all-around. They have tons of courses on various topics, all for free, and I've used it for studying a couple of times.

Anyway, if I come across any other free course with a free certicate of accomplishment, as well, I'll try to let you know!

Please do! Either post it here or PM me. I'm maintaining an updated live list of this on my own blog too.

Might want to add some of MIT's OCW course.

Unfortunately, they don't give a certificate after course completion:

Can I get a certificate after completing these courses?

No. MIT OpenCourseWare is a publication of the course materials that support the dynamic classroom interactions of an MIT education; it is not a degree-granting or credit-bearing initiative.

Are the certificates you receive worth anything though?

At the very least, it will be a motivation factor to complete the course and learn thoroughly.

True, but was wondering if it holds any value in a job application.
