[Every class](https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/envdte.aspx) has this on it:

This API supports the product infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code. Microsoft Internal Use Only.

Yet that is the only way to do things as far as I know. Why even make things public if you aren't supposed to use them?
