So, has anyone started work on "VES" yet?

I'm of course referring to "Voat Enhancement Suite", a browser extension I'm hoping exists or will exist soon. Someone created RES, so are there any projects already going?

Sure; looks like /v/enhancement has been open for nearly a year, so I assume they've made some progress by now.
I haven't checked in on that subverse, mainly because Voat already does most of the stuff I used RES for (night mode, mainly).

Yeah, I heard they were on their way with key bindings as well!

What features would you like to see in an extension? Just curious.
I mostly used RES for being able to have images on the same page, being able to see karma correctly, and its night mode.

Keyboard navigation, above all else! But the tagging was nice too, I guess we don't have that here yet?

There were and are several projects like that, but generally their developers are encouraged to instead contribute directly to the Voat code which is fairly readable and easy to contribute to: https://github.com/voat/voat. Native feature support is always better.

As other people have said, the goal should be integration into Voat rather than extension-building.
That said, I've started a keyboard shortcuts extension because I desperately miss keyboard navigation. I hope to develop it to a stable point, then integrate it into voat. More users & feedback would always help!
