How much interest do you think? PGP or similar auto-signing chrome plugin for edditt

Okay. . . I'm looking for a reality check.

I'm whiteboard out a chrome plugin and linked central or existing public-key service that hides a hash in the content of a markup-link with the displayed text being the username, and does so auto-magically when you submit a post.

There's some obvious technical and security challenges, most of which seem difficult but tractable (feel free to point out issues you see), but the real question is do you see there being enough of a market for this (people willing to say shell out 1-3 dollars a year to cover server and beer costs)? Yes I'll start with redditt, but might support more in time as it goes forward if it's not boring.

I abandon alts too frequently to care for this sort of application. OTOH if you love your alt and want to be associated with it for all eternity, maybe it is a good idea.
