One of my friends made the jump from psych nurse to embedded software developer at around 35, and he's doing great. It all comes down to attitude and effort, though.
It is never late to do something, just I think it can be a bit hard for you, you should be in trend with new technology.
You know, now is so popular Virtual reality. I think it will take much space in the world, so my recommendation is - to start work with Virtual reality.

The answer is yes if you want to keep learning 365/8/24 for the rest of your life.
