Should I submit my website to search engines or let it happen on it's own.

Submit to a search engine?
Throw Google analytics on it, make sure your robots file is set, have a site map, make sure all your tags are done properly, make sure your HTML is semantic and look at long tail keywords.
For a good method to check your site. Run it through an accessibility checker and through screaming frog (something frog ...) it's a Java app so should run on all platforms.
Then make sure your content matches keywords and is updated regularly.
Domains propoganda within hours recently so no big problem there.

I recently launched ArchaicQuest and I registered it in the search console. I think letting google find it naturally is a myth that it's better for you. I'm doing OK for my keywords and it's day 6

Google will only find it by itself if it follows a link from another place, keep the keywords succinct and use tls for best initial searchranks.

For google it's better to register on google Webmaster and then add your sitemap there, this is the best way for google. I don't know about others.
