As is always the problem with everything *nix, we ALL need to do this, but there is never just a fucking window with checkboxes to do this thing millions of people need to do. So millions of people search the internet and trust what they see and copy paste some CLI shit from a web page without question.
If Linux loved me, there would be a dialog box or admin page with checkboxes.
This is why I tell everyone that Linux Containers are about to turn the entire fucking industry on its head. You can find a preconfigured stack image pretty easily and then just fire it up. Maybe look at one configuration file that maps to each technology in the stack. BOOM, you have a reasonably secure system in just a couple of minutes.
Well, there is always a chance you can install webmin or similar (free) or plesk / cpanel on it. Than you get everything more easy, without need to access from cmd line.
I'm thinking to write a tutorial about that. Would you think would help you?
