When I start coding, I have the whole code in my mind. Once interrupted, I lose everything and I have to start from the beginning.

Damn good find and 100% accurate.

Flow.

I liked having an office just because of this. I could close the door and ignore all the asses fucking around outside.

Developers sound like babies. I start an inframe right about when the head is about to come off, i get pulled off to deal with a cel. Do I complain? no, I get right back to work. Fuck your flow, your paid to code, so fucking code.

That developer is doing too much at once. Solve smaller problems, then use those parts to put together something more complicated.

Hmm... That wasn't nearly curmudgeon-y enough.

I'm disappointed! ;-)

Seriously, the curmudgeon responses I sometimes get in this sub crack me up. It sometimes reminds me of Slashdot. They motivate me and sometimes I submit stuff just so I can see the curmudgeons come out and complain. I may be the only person who looks back fondly on the vim vs. emacs wars. I miss those debates.

Have all of the tabs people been gassed appropriately?

0

No, that debate still rages. I like to point out that tabs can be made to appear however you want with your editor!

The only ones that truly need gassing are those who mix the two together. If you mix tabs and spaces together for formatting, you should be beaten with a rusty tire iron until dead.

Spaces also appear however you want with your editor. Generally with some sort of code standard for the project it's uniform too. Mixing tabs and spaces is inherent in the act of using tabs, you dirty dirty scum. I hope your whole bloody house collapses.

LOL I mean for formatting. If you use both, I am going to hunt you down and have sex with your barely legal daughter.

Wait, nevermind. No woman would ever breed with someone like that!
