This is my favorite book on C#.
Very in depth for new people, yet it builds to advanced concepts for the more experienced

Idk what your programming level is, but if you're really new then check out Head First C#

I wouldn't say I am really new, I have the basics and was making some basic programs in java & VB.NET before.

Oh cool then.. Sounds like you don't need too much help if you know Java and the Visual Studio already.

Head First C# is a great book that I used to learn. Its writing keeps you engaged and it is a fun book to go through.

Hell yea, Head First taught me Java and got me and whoever else I could get to borrow the book interested in programming.
