Get your Visual Studio while its hot

If you are a member of Bizspark or related Microsoft programs you probably just received an email about Visual Studio 2015. It goes on to say that once you finish the program you will no longer be able to continue using Visual Studio unless you side-grade to Community or Code. The contents of the email are sadly quite confusing.
It then mentions later on that if you get your keys and download 2013 before 2015 launches on July 20, you'll be able to keep using Visual Studio afterwards. As long as that's true you have a couple of days to make sure you have your keys and a copy of the ISO in a safe place before you lose access.
It kind of sucks that Microsoft have chosen to do this at short notice.

Well, Community edition is pretty awesome, and a lot of people are gonna be using it from now on

Yeah that sucks!
Ultimate has a couple of features absent from Professional (community) which I rely on, for example IntelliTrace and the SQL Schema and Data comparison tools, which make Red-gates obsolete.
Hopefully people will be pissed enough off about this that they reverse it!

I usually ignore those emails. Thanks for the advance warning.

Huh yeah same here, but for some reason I didn't this time and thought I'd let others know.
