VIM + Vundle (YouCompleteMe among other plugins)

I am curious other goats thoughts on VIM as a code editor. I have been thinking about switching as in my previous job I used VIM constantly, so am comfortable with VIM and Linux in general. Tell me your experiences, with this oft used editor.

Have you tried using any of the plugins... specifically like YouCompleteMe

I never used that one. I briefly tried the file tree plugin at one point.

Vim completes C functions appearing in includes. You could also look at ctags (http://ctags.sourceforge.net/).
