js is overly complex? definitely a lot of the stupid libraries people made for it. Divs and CSS are already about as easy as you can get. They're damn near the equiv of the ios "views" and styling them.

If javascript (a garbage collected, dynamically typed language) is too complex then wait until these people start writing some c++
