I made an AMMORPG in one year

Almost exactly a year ago I started a project in unity knowing no c#. I decided to copy an old online rpg from my childhood. Starting out I didn't think I would get anywhere. Every programmer on youtube's number one advice is do not create an mmorpg. Especially as your first project. But I did it. The game is online and it works. I can't believe it. I have a lot of work to do in the game world but all the technical shit is behind me(at least I think it is. on a true mmo scale not sure how well the game would hold up). Fuck yeah! I was thinking about injecting some red-pilled jq themes into the game and story. You guys have any ideas?

from my understanding you dont do an mmo because scaling becomes an absolute bitch. sure u can make it for a few local connections but hard to say how many ppl can actually connect to it

Yeah that's what I hear. If I have to limit the game to like 8 players per instance like diablo then so be it. Very curious how many players it can handle. I used mirror which according to the devs is made for mmo scale.

Just make it fun so it grows, you can learn scaling.
