[META] We're not getting any other moderators right now, and here's why

Hi,

I have an update on my quest on moderating /v/programming (and world domination of course) for you all.

@moe looked into my subverse request and replied some hours ago. The comment itself is really short, so please read it yourself.

The outcome is that while the list of moderators will hopefully shrink (That is, inactive ones will be removed as @moe said), I still won't be able to add moderators on my own. While this is right now not what hurts the most, it's something that will hurt us on the long run. It is already the case that sometimes, I'd like to hear a second opinion on decisions, before they're made. Having a META thread for everything would not only spam this subverse, it would also take ages to do anything useful.

Okay, that's it. And how's your day going?

This means you have to ask the admins to add more mods when you have some suitable candidates.

I didn't receive any reply to my last PMs in their direction. My subverse request took two weeks for an answer. If it takes two weeks minimum to respond to anything, if at all, then that's not an option. Sorry, I also have other things to do.

Hopefully the new mod permission system is rolled out fairly soon. That should fix the permission issues according to moe.
