The awesome thing about working in software is that everybody needs us. Don't limit yourself to companies that make software as a 3rd party vendor. Find big companies that do things you like and see what their software needs are and like @mike_allen said, you just need a remote job, not necessarily an overseas office. Here's some big, cool, international companies off the top of my head: Pfizer, CocaCola, BAE, HSBC, Viacom, Disney, Motorola, Computer Associates...
That could lead to data analysis, logistics, aerospace, finance, etc. Software can bring you a lot of places.
