As someone who has always loved text-mode games, this is right up my alley. I've been looking for something fun to do with C# in my spare time and I think I found it.
If you're into text games, you might also like to know about a library made for roguelike games, libtcod. Libtcod is a library meant to make some common roguelike development tasks easier, and there is a C# wrapper for it here, though it isn't actively maintained anymore.
