If you have no idea about programming or how computers work, but you think you might be interested, I can probably help.

I make the offer to show, on google hangouts or something, within the span of let's say half a dozen sessions, the basics of how and why computers work internally (from the electronic components through computer architecture up until compilers).

the "class" is supposed to be oriented towards those that (and i say this with all the love i have about computers and programming) have no idea how the damn things work but they feel like they might be interested in learning how.

I can show you what it is all about, in various degrees of detail and simplification. Whether you continue on your own that's up to you, I will only show you the beginning and answer your questions about the fundamentals.

I would be an eager participant in this! My poor computer is ancient in technology years and I've been toying with the idea of upgrading by building my own but I'm definitely the kind of person that wants to understand how it all works and not just follow "ikea" type instructions on what goes where. Count me in!
